Smile Black Queen!

One, two, hey y’all

Three, four, hello everyone

Same thing, different lingo

Straight hair, Curly hair

Same thing, different lingo

Culture is watered down

Don’t be too black, they say

What does that mean?

There’s no such thing!

Yet rules have been set for me

You are enough!

You are not manly!

You are not less than!

You are not too strong!

You are not undesirable!

Strength like that of an Eagle

Your beauty transcends season

Your pain when watered blooms

Yes I am a woman, Yes I am black, No I am not always angry

And my voice matters

I appreciated how the post reflects on equality as not just a concept but a daily practice of fairness and respect in all interactions, which really made me think about how I approach teamwork and collaboration. It took me back to a time in my tech classes when complex coding assignments felt daunting, and I ended up needing someone to write my Matlab assignment so I could focus on understanding the logic rather than just the syntax. That support helped me grow more confident in problem‑solving.
